Create and manage a deal
Add a deal, organize its records, and move it through the lending lifecycle.
Updated July 22, 2026
Create a deal
Open Deals and select New deal. Start with the information you trust: a property name or address, request amount, property type, sponsor, and source. You can save an incomplete record and add detail as diligence progresses.
Use one deal record for the full lifecycle. Keeping intake, underwriting, decisions, documents, and activity together gives the team a shared source of truth.
Review the deal workspace
A deal is organized into focused sections for intake details, financials, units, documents, questions, notes, and model outputs. Available sections depend on the deal stage and the modules configured for your workspace.
Before moving a deal forward:
- Confirm the property and borrower details.
- Review uploaded source documents and any extracted values.
- Resolve open questions or assign them to a teammate.
- Check that key terms and assumptions match the latest conversation.
Move the deal through stages
Stages show where a deal sits in your lending process. Advance a deal only when the team has completed the work required by your company. A stage change affects where the deal appears in views and may expose the next set of actions.
Do not create a duplicate record when a deal moves from intake to underwriting or from closing to servicing. Continue from the existing deal so its history remains intact.
Keep the record current
Add notes for context that is not already present in an email or document. Use tasks for work with an owner or due date. When terms change, update the structured field as well as the note so downstream documents use the current value.
